Saturday, August 8 • 8:00pm • The Bowl
Saturday night’s headliner is Anderson East, who will be performing with a full horn section. The Alabama native Michael Anderson plays his interpretation of American rhythm and blues pop, creating a funky sound all his own. Anderson East forms new music from old influences, drawing from artists such as Aretha Franklin, Amos Lee and the Rolling Stones. As described in Rolling Stone Magazine, East “can sing the blues with a sultry, countrified growl… Evoking a twangier Ray LaMontagne or Amos Lee with notes of plaintive Ryan Adams, he’s forming a sound all his own.” Check out Anderson East on the main stage Saturday at 8pm.
