Sweet Pea Festival Poster Contest Winner
The winner of the 2010 Sweet Pea Festival Poster Contest is Marit Lueth, a Bozeman resident. Marit moved here seven years ago from northern Minnesota to attend MSU. She graduated in 2009 after earning her undergraduate and master's degrees in Architecture. She has attended several Sweet Pea Festivals and has always wanted to enter the poster contest. This year she decided to do it and is thrilled to be recognized for her efforts
"I am so excited to be a part of this year's Festival," says Marit. "The idea for the poster started with a quick hand-drawn sketch, which I recreated digitally. I wanted the design to be cheerful, bright and playful, representing Bozeman in the summertime."
Marit will sign her winning poster during the Sweet Pea Festival, Saturday, August 7, from 1pm-3pm at the Merchandise Tent. 2010 Sweet Pea Festival posters will be on sale at various outlets including the Sweet Pea office located at Church and Main Sstreet. Posters will sell for $18 and postcards will sell for $1.
The Sweet Pea Festival received a total of 85 poster contest entries this year. Nine judges from the community narrowed down the choices to seven posters for the Sweet Pea Board of Directors' vote. Entries had to be 18"x24" and could be in any media, with or without typography.
Congratulations to Marit!
