The Montana Jazz Collective featuring John Dover on trumpet, Bob Nell on Piano, Rob Kohler on bass, and Adam Greenberg on the drums plays original compositions from each member drawing on the entire spectrum of jazz’s history that provides an unforgettable experience for the listener.
John Dover is an endorsed artist and clinician for Bach® trumpets. Born in Bozeman, he currently resides in Portland, Oregon and travels around the country performing as a guest artist, recording artist, clinician, and educator.
Bob Nell is a local treasure who won the coveted National Dewars Prize for solo jazz piano performance. His amazing prowess on the piano has been captivating audiences for decades.
Bassist, composer, and educator Rob Kohler has been a featured performer at many music festivals around the world including; Montreux, Strawberry, Vancouver International, and the Stanford Jazz Workshop.
Local drummer Adam Greenberg created the Montana Jazz Collective with the mission to bring Montana musicians and lovers of jazz together to celebrate this unique American art form. You can see him perform regularly with his 17 – piece jazz orchestra, the Bridger Mountain Big Band on Sunday nights at The Eagles in beautiful downtown Bozeman.
