Welcome to Sweet Pea, A Festival of the Arts! 2008 marked our 31st year of celebrating the arts. Thanks go to our awesome volunteers and faithful fans for making it one of the best years yet! The Sweet Pea Festival is committed to its mission statement of “promoting and cultivating the arts.” We strive to evaluate ourselves and create a new masterpiece for you each and every year. Our dedicated team of up towards 1,500+ volunteers runs and organizes this event with a professionalism and generosity that shines through in each event.
About the Festival
The Sweet Pea Festival is a three-day festival of the arts held in Bozeman, Montana. The fun in Lindley Park starts Friday afternoon with food and music and continues all day Saturday and until 7:00 pm on Sunday. Acts include everything from dynamic music to engaging theatre to family entertainment to dance lessons. Admission is the purchase of a wristband. (Children six and under are free.)
Sweet Pea week also has several ancillary events including a Main Street dining experience, chalk artwork on the sidewalks of downtown, a ball, a juried art show, a parade down Main Street, a sweet pea flower show, an arts & crafts vendor show, and a children’s run.
What did you think about 2008's Festival?
Sweet Pea is a non-profit organization. All the money raised above what is needed to operate the Festival is given back to the community in the form of grants for the arts, art education, and special projects in the Bozeman area. Sweet Pea is run and organized by volunteers and is able to operate the Festival through its admission and merchandise sales.
