The Sweet Pea Festival is run by a volunteer board consisting of eleven Board Directors (voting positions) and 31 Committee Chairs. The Board Directors also have the Festival job title of “Division Coordinator.” Division Coordinators oversee the activities of the committees in their divisions. The term runs November to November. New open positions will be listed as they come available. Sweet Pea’s Board of Directors and Committee Chairs work year-round to plan each year’s event and fulfill the Festival’s mission of promoting and cultivating the arts. Committee Chairs’ responsibilities range from performance selection to pre-festival event planning to merchandise handling, marketing, and promotion.
